Train the Trainer - Foundation Module
The District currently holds two Train the Trainer sessions per Connexional Year. These sessions provide current and would-be Foundation Module trainers with the skills and knowledge necessary for them to train others within their circuit. This session is compulsory for all trainers.
Train the Trainer sessions are split into three parts and participants are only required to attend the session relevant to the type of training they wish to deliver. For example, if you only wish to offer the training on a face-to-face basis you will only need to attend Part One.
Part One: Foundation Module 2020 Update
This session is aimed at trainers who are either new to running the Foundation Module, or have been facilitating earlier versions of the Foundation Module (face-to-face). In February 2020 the Connexion updated the Foundation Module. Earlier versions are now out of date and it is a Connexional requirnemtn for all Foundation Module trainiers to receive training to refresh their skills and gain an indepth understanding of the new February 2020 version.
Part Two: Foundation Module Online Differences
Following the pandemic, the 2020 Foundation Module material was further adapted to enable the sessions to be run online. This session is designed to ensure that all trainers and would be trainers, are aware of these changes and should be attended by all those who would like to be able to run the online version of the Foundation Module.
Part Three: Zoom Confidence (optional add-on)
This session is designed for those who feel less confident using Zoom to run training online. The session will be tailored to the needs of the audience, but will be geared towards enabling participants to:
Understand the differences between devices when using Zoom
Understand the functions available when using Zoom
Explore functions including: chat box, reactions, muting/unmuting, breakout rooms and screen sharing
Dates for forthcoming Train the Trainer sessions can be found below. Booking is via Eventbrite.
