Churches ceasing to worship

The District Chairs and Deputy Chairs have had a number of conversations with circuits regarding church closures (standing order 9403(1)). This a reminder, that reasoned statements on these closures need to be sent to the District Team for the District Council to vote ahead of Spring Synod, by Friday 24 March at the latest.

If churches are looking to the September Synod for formal approval of ceasing worship, this needs to be with the District by Tuesday 11 July (for the District Council July meeting). If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Sam.
