A new drop-in centre and cafe

Plans are underway subject to approval and securing the remaining funding to construct a drop-in centre and café style area at the ‘Grange Hill Methodist Church Project’.

The project will be undertaken in three phases:

  • Phase one would create a separate entrance into the building enabling dual use throughout the week and proving a secure area for the nursery. In turn this will improve the resilience of the Circuit Project through increased lettings while allowing use of meeting rooms and Chapel, expending our community involvement.

  • Phase two would create a separate disabled toilet, baby changing facilities and café area. The café style area would be used as the drop-in area, a distribution point for the food bank and debt advice. Currently, the chapel is used as the food bank centre.

  • Phase three would create external secure areas for the nursery and improve parking.

The sum of £56,000 must be raised in order to fund all three phases of work. It is hoped phase one will commence in July 2021, and any financial help would be appreciated.

If you are aware of any funding bodies that might be able to assist, please forward details to Jackie via email or to the address below. Please also contact Jackie if you, or your church, would like to make a donation.
