Caring for creation is at the heart of our mission. That is why, as a District, we are taking action to reduce our carbon emissions and work towards Net Zero.

What is Net Zero?

Net Zero means reducing the carbon emissions we produce as far as possible and taking action to address any emissions that remain. For churches, this can include improving energy efficiency, considering low carbon heating, caring for the natural environment and encouraging more sustainable practices in everyday church life.

Every church has a role to play in caring for creation. The District can support you with practical advice, resources and inspiration to reduce carbon emissions and take meaningful action. From improving church buildings and exploring renewable energy to encouraging sustainable habits within your congregation, you will find information to help your church move towards Net Zero. Together, we can make a lasting difference for creation and future generations.
