Eco Church
Eco Church and Net Zero work hand in hand. Delivered by A Rocha UK, Eco Church provides a framework for churches to assess their environmental impact, celebrate progress and identify further opportunities for action. Whether your church is just starting its Net Zero journey or already making significant progress, Eco Church offers practical guidance, encouragement and recognition through its Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. Our aim is for every church in the District to register with Eco Church and begin taking practical steps towards caring for creation.
Eco Church Survey
The Eco Church Survey is a simple online questionnaire that helps churches assess where they are on their Net Zero and environmental journey. The survey also provides ideas, resources and inspiration, helping churches identify practical next steps and track their progress over time.

Once you have completed the survey and met the relevant requirements, your church can receive a Bronze, Silver or Gold Eco Church Award.

Eco Church Awards
The survey helps churches measure their progress and work towards Bronze, Silver and Gold Eco Church Awards. These awards recognise practical action being taken to care for creation across all areas of church life. Several churches across the District have already achieved Bronze and Silver Eco Church Awards and are working towards the next level.
Once registered, please contact Jacqueline Geary, Net Zero & Grant Enabler, for advice and support with completing the survey, working towards an award or identifying practical next steps.
