Calling all current and potential Foundation Module trainer

We are pleased to announce the details of the next Train the Trainer session which will be taking place on Saturday 13 February from 11am.


If you wish to deliver the Foundation Module, either the online or face-to-face version, you must have attended a Train the Trainer session. This day will be split into three parts to accommodate those the various potential needs of attendees. The three parts are listed below. Please select which is most relevant to you and register via the Eventbrite link below. If you are unsure, please contact Becky or Martha for further support and guidance.


**Please note, face-to-face training remains temporarily suspended under current government guidelines.


PART 1 – Foundation Module 2020 Update

This session is aimed at trainers who either are new to running the Foundation Module, or have been facilitating earlier versions of the Foundation Module (face-to-face).. 


In February 2020, the Connexion updated the Foundation Module. Earlier versions being utilised are now out of date and it is a Connexional requirement for all Foundation Module trainers to receive training to refresh skills and gain an in depth understanding of the new February 2020 version.


Delivering the training will be District Safeguarding Officer, Becky Skinner and Learning Network Coordinator, James Pickin.

You are invited to join Zoom at 10.50am for registration and a prompt session start at 11am. The session will last approximately 2 hours with a break midway.



PART 2 – Foundation Module ONLINE differences

Following the pandemic, the 2020 Foundation Module material was further adapted to enable the sessions to be run online. This session is designed to ensure that all trainers and would be trainers, are aware of these changes and should be attended by all those who would like to be able to run the online version of the Foundation Module.

Delivering the training will be District Safeguarding Officer, Becky Skinner and Learning Network Coordinator, James Pickin.

You are invited to join Zoom at 1.50pm for registration and a prompt session start at 2pm. The session will last approximately 45 minutes.
 

There are 30 places available.


PART 3 – Zoom Confidence

This session is designed for those who feel less confident using Zoom to run training online. The session will be tailored to the needs of the audience, but will be geared towards enabling participants to:


  • Understand the differences between devices when using Zoom

  • Understand the functions available when using Zoom

  • Explore functions including: chat box, reactions, muting/unmuting, breakout rooms and screen sharing


Delivering the training will be District Safeguarding Officer, Becky Skinner and Learning Network Coordinator, James Pickin.

You are invited to join Zoom at 2.50pm for registration and a prompt session start at 3pm. The session will last approximately 30-45 minutes.

WHICH SESSION DO I NEED TO ATTEND?


  • If you wish to run the Foundation Module FACE-TO-FACE and you attended any of the Train the Trainer sessions facilitated by the DSO, Becky Skinner, in 2020, you do not need to recomplete PART 1.


  • If you wish to run the Foundation Module FACE-TO-FACE and you have not attended any Train the Trainer sessions facilitated by the DSO, Becky Skinner, in 2020, you will need to attend PART 1.


  • If you wish to run the Foundation Module ONLINE and you attended any of the Train the Trainer sessions facilitated by the DSO, Becky Skinner, in 2020, you do not need to recomplete PART 1, but you will need to complete PART 2.


  • If you wish to run the Foundation Module ONLINE and you did not attend any of the Train the Trainer sessions facilitated by the DSO, Becky Skinner, in 2020 you must complete PART 1, and you will need to complete PART 2.


  • If you wish to run the Foundation Module ONLINE and you would like the ability to explore the Zoom functions to build your confidence, or gain a better understanding on Zoom for running Foundation Module sessions, you should attend PART 3.
