A Prayer for our Youth and Children

Lord, we pray for all the children, young people, young adults and families represented by those hearing this prayer.

We pray for the churches and circuits that are actively engaging in ministry with children and young people.

Continue to bless them and their various and wide-ranging ministries, from the toddler groups and junior churches to the youth clubs and schools work provisions and everything in between.

Continue to bless all those engaged in this ministry to children and young people, whether they are lay or ordained, voluntary or paid.

Lord, we also pray for the ‘not yet’s’ the circuits and churches that desperately want to reach the children and young people in their area but have yet to find a way.

We pray that you will go ahead of them, clearing a path and placing children and young people in their path.

Lord, we want to pray specifically for the children and young people who may be struggling. Struggling with their mental health, addictions, bereavements, exam pressures, relationships, whatever their struggle might be, we pray for a move of your spirit in their lives, that they will feel you close and know of your love.
