Called to... Pioneer?

Those who feel called by God to start initiatives which could lead to the creation of new worshipping communities, or NPNP, are known as pioneers.

Pioneers can be lay people, Deacons, Presbyters or Superintendents. They are typically drawn to people outside of the church, particularly those who are marginalised and underrepresented in our Christian communities.

The role of the NPNP Lead is also to support and encourage pioneers in the London District and assist them to ensure new ventures which share God’s love, enable God’s transformative goodness and glorify God come into being.

There are regular events where you can interact with other pioneers, such as Wholehearted which is a monthly online gathering facilitated by the Evangelism and Growth team.

An on-going and more systematic approach to pioneer support and training is on offer by signing up to Methodist Pioneering Pathways - The Methodist Church
