God who holds and cherishes us and our memories

at this time of remembering

we hold before you

all those whose memories of life are painful:

 

those damaged or displaced by war

those fleeing oppression or persecution

those longing for safety and security, 

those yearning for acceptance and welcome.

 

Help us, we pray, to work alongside others in this city

- people of all faiths and none - 

to create places of sanctuary and healing

that will see the wellbeing and flourishing of us all.
