Politics in the Pulpit

Politics in the Pulpit is JPIT’s new (controversially named!) lectionary-based preaching resource.

In weekly episodes, we’ll ask how reclaiming the justice issues present in the biblical texts helps us to be good news in the world today. Each week, we will host a different guest, discussing to discern the political dimensions present in the Scriptures and reflecting on how they connect with the week’s current news and our role in the Kingdom of God.

Episodes will be released weekly, on Tuesday mornings. Discussions will focus on the Revised Common Lectionary passages for the following Sunday. Hosted by Revd Beth Allison-Glenny, Public Issues Enabler for the Baptist Union of Great Britain. Beth is an ordained minister and previously pastored churches in Oxford and Leicestershire.
