A Prayer from the District Chaplaincy Coordinator
Monday 30 January 2023
Loving God we thank you for the work of chaplains across our district, sharing your love in a variety of contexts. As you have come among us in Jesus to be where we are, so we thank you that our chaplains respond to people in their places of work, study, in hospitals, prisons and elsewhere. Bless them and inspire them that they may continue to find innovate ways of sharing the gospel.
At this time, we pray particularly for University chaplains as they support students through exams, as they support students through the cost of living crisis and through increasing experiences of mental ill health. Meet those students with your compassion through the presence of the chaplaincies. Â
May we all hear the call of your kingdom to reach out beyond our churches and find with joy that you are already ministering to diverse communities through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Â
We offer our prayer through the name of Jesus, who became what we are, that we and the world might become what he is.
Amen.
The District Chaplaincy Coordinator asks you to please pray for:
For chaplains serving in the name of the Methodist Church
For those communities in which chaplains minister
For inspiration, that churches and circuits may look for opportunities to share God’s love in their local communities
