Update on the Pilgrimage to the Holy Land
Dear Friends,
Re. Pilgrimage to the Holy Land with London District Chairs 16th-23rd March 2021
We trust this letter finds you well and safe at this time.
As you will know, different national governments have taken different measures to control the spread of Covid-19. At present, Israeli authorities are not allowing pilgrims from overseas into the country and we currently have no news as to when this situation may change. We are also aware that some scheduled to go abroad may feel uneasy about international travel at present.
Following the advice of our tour operators, McCabe Pilgrimages, we have had to take the difficult decision to cancel the Pilgrimage. We are aware that this may not be the news you were expecting this side of Christmas. However, we hope you can appreciate the circumstances under which we’ve had to make this decision and know that the safety of all has been paramount in this. The District hopes to organise another pilgrimage at some point in future.
Will I get a refund for all monies paid?
Yes, you will get a full refund of all monies paid to date. McCabe Pilgrimages will be in touch by post soon and will enclose a refund cheque for all monies paid to them including the insurance premium. If you have set up a standing order or any other recurring payments, please take a moment to cancel it.
I will be on leave from tomorrow until the New Year however Revd Nigel Cowgill, the London District Chair will be available until 22nd December, should you have any questions or concerns. Please feel free to email him admin@methodistlondon.org.uk.
May the God of hope fill you with joy and peace this Christmas.
Yours sincerely,
Fola Oyeleye
