Sheep Trail Celebration

Each year 15 large knitted sheep, who are given a blessing before they go, are distributed to shops around Hornchurch who have been invited to join in the sheep trail. These are usually small businesses or charity shops and not the major stores. The shop staff then name their sheep and we label them and distribute them to the shops and they stay with them for 2 weeks. The children with their parents are given a list of shops and the children find each sheep and write the name of each sheep on their sheet. When the sheep return to the church the families are invited to come and join us for free refreshments and enter into the church where there is an opportunity to have your photo taken with the sheep and walk round the church looking at the nativity displays, and then to receive a goody bag with the Christmas story inside and other goodies based on the Christmas story.
