At a recent Social Responsibility Commission (SRC) meetings, we have discussed the issue of Knife Crime. We are aware that the issue of knife crime, has touched the lives of many communities served by our churches and has personally touched the lives of some of our members. The Commission is encouraging as many members of London Methodist Churches to complete a questionnaire so that we can began to get an idea of just how much the issue has affected our Methodist community. We would like to look at ways our churches and Circuits have responded to this issue and how we can work together to find a solution to this ever growing problem which is having a very detrimental effect on youths in our communities. The collated responses will allow us to move forward in our discussion and identify ways as a commission we could offer possible support to our churches. The questionnaire can be found here please take the time to fill in the questionnaire and please pass on copies to members of your congregation.
