When technology aids faith. Here is what one superintendent sent to our district office recently. ‘Thought you’d like to hear the comment from a woman in her 40’s who attended a church membership class last night for the first time’:

Methodist Youth Assembly 2011
At this year’s Methodist Youth Assembly, young people from the London District demonstrated their passion on participation and peer leadership. They were very much engaged in their respective workshops and break out groups making valid contributions in conversations and debate. That resulted in two of our young people, one from Lewisham and the other from Newham being voted as Conference Reps for 2012 (The first from the right and first from the left). Moreover, the three One- Programme – Participants (OPPS) from the London District showed a lot of professionalism whilst delivering/leading workshops on a wide range of issues which included discussions on the summer riots and young people’s reaction to what had happened.
This therefore, further emphasis the fact that London District is taking the lead on participation and young people’s involvement in our Mission and Calling as Methodists.

A glowing letter of thanks and appreciation from Hannah Roberts, Coordinator for the organization, was received by the acting superintendent Tony Miles – in which she thanked the Church for their generosity and flexibility in accommodating them during this time. She wrote “The hall’s historic past, prime location and grand design gave the referendum the dignity it deserved. The flexibility of your team was exceptional…. It made an enormous difference”
