Commission for Discipleship and Congregational Development

The Commission for Discipleship and Congregational Development is here to ensure that local churches and circuit in the London District have the resources they need to nurture and develop healthy congregations!

The Circuit Review Handbook is available to download in two formats:-

District Training Events are regularly offered in areas such as Local Preachers Secretaries, Church Stewarding, Pastoral Visiting, Being a Church/Circuit Treasurer, Property Matters, Church Secretary, Healthy Churches, Music, Bible Study, Small Group leadership.  Contact the Discipleship & Training Officer Daniella Fetuga-Joensuu.

Resources for Intercultural Ministries are being developed for local congregations which have ministers and/or members coming from different cultural backgrounds.  Contact Rev Bonni-Belle Pickard for more information.

There are a variety of Language and Culture-Specific Congregations within the London District, including: Chinese Ministries, Zimbabwean Fellowship, Ghanaian Fellowship, Korean Ministries, Brazilian Congregations.  Contact Rev Stuart Jordan for more information.

The Worship Task Group supports Local Preachers and Worship Leaders in the London District, It is responsible for training for Worship This includes the development and management of the ‘London Course’ for Local Preachers and training courses at District and Circuit level for Worship leaders. The Group is also responsible for events such as Local Preacher conferences and requests for authorisations to extend Local Preacher training beyond five years.  Contact Richard Hamilton-Foyn for further information.
